In Jesolo with FISPES for the 2024 Italian Open
Three days of competitions with 400 athletes from 53 nations. These are the numbers of the Italian Open Championships that took place from March 22nd to the 24th, 2024.
After Dubai and Tunis, Jesolo hosted the Italian leg of the International Grand Prix of Paralympic Athletics, a major itinerant event that sees athletes from all around the world compete in numerous disciplines.
At the Armando Picchi stadium there was no shortage of athletes from the Belpaese, who brought home great results, including 21 Italian records.
Among them stood out: Giuliana Chiara Filippi in the long jump, 100 and 200 T64, Carlo Calcagni in the 100 and 200 T72, Nicolas Zagni in the 200 T33, Davide Fiore in the 100 T7, Monica Contrafatto in the 100 T63, Assunta Legnante in the shot put and discus throw F11, Giuseppe Campoccio in the youth throws and weight throw F33, Oney Tapia in the discus F11, and many more.
